Seller Agreement
Applies to every account registered to consign. Bidding is covered separately by the Buyer Agreement. Individual consignments are governed by the consignment agreement you sign when submitting a work.
1. Ownership & Authorization
You confirm that you are the rightful owner of any artwork submitted, or have written authorization to sell on the owner's behalf. Proof of provenance may be required.
2. Seller's Commission
The Coucou Club charges a seller's commission on the final hammer price, deducted before payout. A different rate may be agreed for your consignment and will be stated in your consignment agreement.
3. Membership
Selling requires a yearly membership, which includes the evaluation of your works. It is paid when you first submit a work for review and renews each year; you can let it lapse at any time, and new submissions wait until it is renewed.
4. Artwork Standards
All submissions must meet The Coucou Club's quality and authenticity standards. High-resolution photographs, accurate descriptions, dimensions, medium, and condition reports are required.
5. Curation & Acceptance
The Coucou Club reserves the right to accept or decline any submission at its sole discretion. Declined works do not reflect on the quality of the artwork but on current market fit.
6. Reserve Prices
You may set a reserve price in consultation with our curators. If the reserve is not met, the artwork will not be sold. Reserve prices are confidential.
7. Payment Schedule
Payment is issued within 14 business days of a completed sale and confirmed delivery to the buyer. Payments are made via bank transfer to your verified account.
8. Insurance & Liability
Artworks in The Coucou Club's possession or in transit through our partners are insured. You are responsible for artwork until it is received by our shipping partner.
9. Withdrawal
You may withdraw an artwork before the auction opens. Once an auction is live, withdrawal is not permitted without written approval from The Coucou Club.
